3 reasons how good Light Yagami became Evil
At the beginning of Death Note, Light Yagami was just a typical Japanese student and a genius among his peers. While daydreaming in class one day, he witnessed a notebook fall from the sky and decided to pick it up; as a result, he gained the power to kill anyone by writing their name within its pages.

He Killed 12 Innocent FBI Agents Because They Were Trying To Find Him
After the death of raye penbur, light discovered all the identities of the 12 fbi agents who had been sent to Japan. It happened when he learned raye penbur's name. Then light used that information to reveal the identities of all the undercover agents. It took light a long time to get the names. In the end, when penbur was killed, raye's superior sent the names of the undercover agents for raye to transcribe.
Light Nearly Murdered His Sister To Pull One Over On Mello
Sayu Yagami was kidnapped by the Mafia and held as a hostage in the United States. The group hoped to force Soichiro Yagami, Sayu's father and the former head of the police, to surrender the Death Note in exchange for his daughter's life.
Despite his father's resolve, Light rejected Soichiro's plan to trade the Death Note for Sayu's life. Light even contemplated removing Sayu from the equation; by killing her, Soichiro would've had no reason to trade the Death Note at all. Luckily for everyone involved, neither Sayu nor the Death Note fell into the Mafia's hands.
Light Tries Killing The Entire Task Force After He'd Finally Been Caught
The Kira Task Force was created by L in order to uncover Kira's true identity and bring him to justice. With L at its head, the group consisted of 6 members of the Japanese police force and Light's father, Soichiro. After Light's graduation from high school, L recruited him to the task force as well.
For years, Light worked alongside the task force's members and befriended most of its members in order to gain information on the investigation. After being successfully exposed by Near, Light happily admitted he was Kira while waiting for the task force members to die. Matsuda and the others' looks of betrayal only compare to their ensuing horror of having been working next to Kira during their entire investigation.
